Jerry was originally from Pulaski, probably from near the Rockcastle County line and the Skeggs Creek area where Fannie's family had lived prior to moving to Kansas. Jerry was previously married to Rhoda Long on 4 Nov 1897 in Rockcastle County. They had 2 sons, Virgil and Logan. Rhoda apparently died as Jerry and Fannie were raising the boys in 1910 along with Fannie's son, Bill.
