• Obituary: Published in the Barbourville Mountain Advocate on 6 October 2005 in Barbourville, Knox County, Kentucky. ¹³⁷⁵ CYNDIA HOPKINS SAYLOR Mrs. Cyndia Hopkins Saylor, 102, of Barbourville, passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 26, 2005 at her home. She was the oldest child of the late Columbus and Martha Collins Hopkins, born on Sept. 29, 1912 at Copper Creek in Rockcastle County.

Mrs. Saylor was a former homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Barbourville. She was a past president of the Tuesday Club. She enjoyed growing flowers and sewing.

She united in marriage with Grant Saylor and to this union one son was born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Grant in 1984 and several brothers and sisters.

Her funeral service was conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Marvis Pridemore officiating. Mrs. Saylor was laid to rest in Resthaven Cemetery at Loyall Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.

Cindy married Grant SAYLOR on 8 May 1920 in Bell County, Kentucky.¹³⁸¹ (Grant SAYLOR was born ca. 1900 in Kentucky,¹³⁸¹ died on 21 November 1984 in Barbourville, Knox County, Kentucky ¹⁵² and was buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Loyall, Harlan County, Kentucky ¹³⁷⁵.)
