  General Notes:

Lena worked at the Rockcastle Hotel (on the corner of Richmond St. & Main St.) in Mount Vernon. She lived with her mother (Lou) and uncle (Bob) at Renfro Valley until their deaths.

One of Lena's neighbors at Renfro (name unknown) died leaving a young son (probably under 10 years old). Lena raised him after his mother died. (This happened sometime in the 1950's.)

Sometime in the 1960's, she sold the farm where she had lived with her mother and uncle and moved into a small apartment at the hotel.
