George was listed as a day laborer, age 39, born Feb 1861 in Ohio. Both of his parents were born in Germany. 8

• 1910 United States Federal Census, George Ricketts [sic] household, Madison County, Indiana: George and Molly were living in Stony Creek Township with children; Charles, George, Mack, Rosie and Robert. George was listed as a tank tender in a bottle factory, age 50, born in Ohio. 16

• Obituary: Published in the Anderson Herald on 12 September 1940 in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana. 223 GEORGE RIICKERT DIES IN HOSPITAL: George W. Riickert, age eighty, 1510 West Third Street, died at 8:15 p.m. yesterday in St. John's hospital following an illness of several weeks. He had been a patient in the hospital since September 4.

Mr. Riickert was a native of Cincinnati, O., and moved to Kentucky during early manhood,. He was employed as a railroader for several years at Mount Vernon, Ky. He moved to Lapel in 1901 and was employed as a glass blower and in 1909 he came to Anderson. While in this city, he was employed by the Indiana Silo Company, Hayes Wheel Works and the National Tile Company. Mr. Riickert retired eleven years ago.

He was a member of the Active lodge No. 748, I. O. O. P. His wife, Mrs. Martha Riickert, died in 1923.

The body was taken to the C. S. Nuckols funeral home where services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. H. R. Carson, pastor of the Noble Street Methodist Church will officiate. The body will be taken to Mount Vernon, Friday night and graveside services will be conducted Thursday afternoon in Taylor Cemetery in that city.

Survivors are four sons, Charles F. Riickert of Waukegan, Ill., and George A., William B. and Robert Riickert of Anderson; a daughter, Mrs. Rosie Thompson of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Fleeman of Anderson and Mrs Mollie Stephenson of Brandon, Fla., two brothers, Benjamin Riickert of Millersburg, Ky and William Riickert of Menefee, Ky., a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
