George Thomas Taylor, 57, of Mt. Vernon, died suddenly of a heart attack while loading hay on his farm.

Mr Taylor was born in Rockcastle County, the son of Milt and Janie Sowder Taylor. Besides his wife, May Dash French Taylor, he is survived by one sister, Mrs Virgie Hasty of Elizabeth, Ind., and three stepchildren; Mrs. Laura Belle Hayes, Charles and Robert French, all of Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services were conducted Dec 5 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rolla Cornelius officiating. He was buried in the family cemetery.
