Thomas Ramsey Jr. was married 3 times. 1st he married Atly Percith on 23 Feb 1818 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. They had one son, William B. 2nd he married Millie Welsh on 13 Feb 1820. As far as can be determined, they had no children. 3rd he married Rhoda Ann Lavender Lair. (She was the widow of Stephen Lair.) They had 3 children, Margaret, Joseph and Harriett.

Thomas & his family has not be located in the 1820 census in Rockcastle or surrounding counties. He was married for a 2nd time in early 1820 and had a young son from his first marriage.

  Death Notes:

Thomas probably died about 1852 as that is the year he stopped being included in the Rockcastle County Tax List. He could not be located in the 1860 census and his two youngest children (Joseph & Harriett) were listed as living with their half-brother, William Thomas Lair.

• 1850 United States Federal Census, Thos. Ramsey household, Rockcastle County, Kentucky: Thomas was living with his children, Margaret, Joesph & Harriett. He was listed as a blacksmith, age 67, born in Virginia. ⁴²

• Occupation: Thomas worked as a blacksmith. ⁴²

Thomas married Atly PERCITH on 23 February 1818 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.⁴⁰¹

Thomas next married Millie WELSH on 12 February 1820 in Lincoln County, Kentucky.³⁹⁴

Thomas next married Rhoda Ann LAVENDER, daughter of John LAVENDER and Unknown, on 20 January 1839 in Lincoln County, Kentucky ^1,394.^,395 (Rhoda Ann LAVENDER was born bet. 1800 and 1810 in Kentucky,^41,402 died bet. 1845 and 1850 ^403,404 and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky ³⁹⁹.)

• Residence: 1840's, Main Street, Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Thomas and Rhoda lived in this house in the 1840's. It is unknown exactly how long they lived in the house but they were living there when their son, Joseph Love, was born in 1842. The house was located on the SE corner of what is now Main and Richmond Streets. Thomas also had a blacksmith shop at that location. [The lot is currently a parking lot.]
