General Notes: Thomas Ramsey Jr. was married 3 times. 1st he married Atly Percith on 23 Feb 1818 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. They had one son, William B. 2nd he married Millie Welsh on 13 Feb 1820. As far as can be determined, they had no children. 3rd he married Rhoda Ann Lavender Lair. (She was the widow of Stephen Lair.) They had 3 children, Margaret, Joseph and Harriett. Death Notes: Thomas probably died about 1852 as that is the year he stopped being included in the Rockcastle County Tax List. He could not be located in the 1860 census and his two youngest children (Joseph & Harriett) were listed as living with their half-brother, William Thomas Lair. • Residence: 1840's, Main Street, Mount Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Thomas and Rhoda lived in this house in the 1840's. It is unknown exactly how long they lived in the house but they were living there when their son, Joseph Love, was born in 1842. The house was located on the SE corner of what is now Main and Richmond Streets. Thomas also had a blacksmith shop at that location. [The lot is currently a parking lot.] |
